Switch to a Native Desktop Viewer from a Linux or Mac Client

Switch to a RDP session to have more control over Remote Sessions tuning parameters.

Start Remote Sessions from Access Web and switch to access the session from native desktop viewer.

  1. Click the Sessions tab located in the upper left-hand of the page.
    A sessions list is displayed.

  2. Choose one of the following options:
    • Double click a session name.
    • Right click a session name and click Open.
    • Right click a session name and click Open Session in New Tab.
    A remote session of the interactive application is opened.

    The left panel provides the list of active sessions and the current session with the user name. The session options are provided at the top right-hand corner to open in desktop, change the resolution, copy text from remote session, expand, screen capture, share, and terminate the session.

    The following message is displayed in Access Web:

  4. If you are Mac user, Remote Sessions will be downloaded as a RDP file.

    1. Double-click the RDP file.


      The Remote Sessions will open using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection.
    2. Enter your credential to open the Remote Sessions.


      The Remote Sessions will be displayed.


  5. If you are Linux user, a confirmation dialog box is displayed to open the session in Access Desktop:

    1. Click Open altair_access_desktop to open the session in desktop.


    2. Enter your credentials to establish the Remote Desktop Connection.

    3. Click OK.
      The Remote Desktop Connection will be established and the Remote Sessions will be displayed.
