NLPARM
Subcase Information Entry The NLPARM command can be used to activate nonlinear solution methods for this subcase and to select the parameters used for Nonlinear Static Analysis, and Nonlinear Direct Transient Analysis.
Format
NLPARM (lgdisp) = option
Definitions
Comments
- NLPARM Bulk Data Entries will not be used unless selected in the Subcase Information section.
- If present above the first subcase, it is applied to all linear static subcases. Nonlinear static analysis subcases, by their definition, will already have an NLPARM reference which is used.
- The NLPARMcommand is supported in quasi-static analysis, nonlinear direct transient analysis and optimization subcases. The LGDISP option is not supported for Radioss Integration via EXPDYN solution sequences.
- If LGDISP is not specified as an argument to NLPARM in a subcase, Large Displacement Analysis is not activated for this subcase. However, if PARAM, LGDISP, 1 is used, Large Displacement Analysis is activated for all subcases containing NLPARM in the model.
