poICFD SetStreamLineDecimation
Specifies whether decimation should be applied to the streamlines in the CFD Plot/Streamlines panel, in order to reduce the memory footprint.
Syntax
poICFD_handle SetStreamLineDecimation decimation_on
Application
HyperView Tcl Modify
Description
This command specifies whether or not to apply decimation to the streamlines obtained by the integration process. Decimation will effectively reduce the memory footprint and improve graphic performance afterwards, however it is important to note that the streamlines could become less smooth and decimation process itself takes some time. After decimation is turned on, you can further specify decimation criterion based on max break angle, max speed variation, and max line segment length by calling the following commands: SetMaxBreakAngle, SetMaxSpeedVariation, and SetMaxLineSegmentLength.
Inputs
- decimation_on
- The boolean value turning decimation on or off.
