Align Midmesh

Use the Midmesh: Align tool to align the midmesh.

  1. From the Mesh ribbon, click the Midmesh > Align tool.

  2. Optional: On the guide bar, click to define alignment options.
  3. Align midmesh.
    To align Do this
    Face to surface
    1. Set the Source selector to Elements, then select elements.
      • Select 2D elements to align face to surface.
      • Select 1D elements to align edge to surface.
        Restriction: Only T-edge 1D elements can be selected.
    2. Use the Guide A selector to select first surface to align to.
    3. Use the Guide B selector to select second surface to align to.
      Note: Guide B is optional and used to align between two sets of faces.
    4. Click Align.
    Node to lines
    1. Set the Source selector to Node List, then select nodes.
    2. Use the Guide A selector to select first line to align to.
    3. Use the Guide B selector to select second line to align to.
      Note: Guide B is optional and used to align between two sets of edges.
    4. Click Align.

Go to Mesh > Midmesh > Align.

Use offset distance when aligning faces.
