Perform Batch Repair

Use the Defeature: Batch tool to perform automatic cleanup operations on selected surfaces.

Note: This feature is not supported for a model with discrete geometry.
  1. From the Geometry ribbon, Cleanup tools, click Defeature > Batch.

    Figure 1.
  2. On the guide bar, click to define batch repair options.
  3. Select surfaces to clean up.
  4. On the guide bar, click Batch Repair.

Access
Go to Geometry > Defeature > Batch.

Options

Minimum size threshold
Shortest edge length to suppress.
Suppress construction edges
Suppress unnecessary geometry construction edges.
Stitch edges
Stitch surface edges within the given tolerance. Useful for stitching free edges.
Resolve overlapping surfaces
Fix overlapping surfaces based on an automatically calculated tangency angle.
Delete duplicate surfaces
Find and delete duplicate surfaces.
Remove surface holes
Fill surface holes less than the defined Maximum radius.
Remove solid holes
Fill solid/bolt holes less than the defined Maximum radius.
Generate solids from closed shells
Convert closed surface groups into solids
Perform boolean for intersecting solids
Boolean/combine intersecting solids.
Retain interface
Retain any common surface, interface, after combining solids. This option is useful for conjugate heat transfer simulations where you want to retain the interface surface between two solids after combining.
