Remove Solid Holes

Use the Defeature: Holes tool to remove solid holes in the model.

Note: This feature is not supported for a model with discrete geometry.
  1. From the Geometry ribbon, Cleanup tools, click Defeature > Holes.

  2. Optional: On the guide bar, click to define settings used to find and select holes of a specific size.
  3. On the guide bar, click Find.
    Holes in the model are selected and highlighted red.
  4. Review each found hole by clicking and on the guide bar.
  5. Remove holes in the following ways:
    1. Remove all found/selected holes by clicking Remove All.
    2. Remove individual holes by left-clicking.

Access
Go to Geometry > Defeature > Fillets.

Options

Find cylindrical holes only
Detect only cylindrical holes when clicking Find. This is useful for detecting bolt holes within the given maximum and minimum widths.

If off, clicking Find will detect arbitrarily shaped holes or cavities.
