Create Attachments from Features: Nodes

Create attachments from features for nodes.

This option lets you define a node, or series of nodes explicitly as an attachment. This use case is for capturing difficult geometry as attachments, or for defining the center node of a pre-existing rigid spider as an attachment. These attachments support a Name and will push the name to the 10th field of the node for OptiStruct and Nastran.

This option is used to create attachments from existing elements such as rigid patches or rigid spiders. You can specify the elements to be absorbed, or you can allow HyperMesh to search and find the suitable elements in the model.

  1. In the Connector Browser, right-click to display the context menu, and select Create > Attachment > From FE Absorb.
The Create Attachment Connectors dialog opens.
