Create Material Inputs

Use the Materials tool to create design variables based on material options for selected properties.

1. Do one of the following:
   • From the Design Explorer ribbon, Inputs tools, click the Materials tool.

   • Click the Materials tool satellite icon . In the Inputs dialog, Details tab, click .
2. Select properties in the modeling window or by using the Advanced Selection dialog.
3. Select the Materials Advanced Selection dialog.
4. Select the valid materials for the selected property or properties.
5. Click proceed.
   The input is added to the Design Explorer Browser.
