Virtual Connector

Virtual connectors are rigid imaginary parts created between selected faces/spots representing geometrical support of the connector.

Virtual connectors can be applied in cases where the corresponding connecting parts are missing in the model. The type of contact interaction between a virtual connector and a real part is defined by the type of virtual connector.

Note: Since virtual connectors create perfectly rigid boundaries, stresses along the boundary faces can have local concentrations.
