Apply Hinge Constraints

Allow free rotation about the centerline of cylindrical faces, and constrain movement in radial and axial directions.

1. In the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
2. In the workbench toolbar, click the (Hinge (Pivot) support) icon.
3. In the modeling window, click to select specific parts on the model.
   Note: Hinge constraint can only be applied to full or partial cylindrical faces. The cylindrical faces may be either concave or convex.
4. Click Apply.
