Post-Processing in HyperView
HyperView is a powerful post processing tool. The point of this section is to simply give you an idea of the post-processing that can be done in HyperView. More specific information on how to use HyperView is given in Chapter 12.
HyperView can be used to view Individual ply results. Possible results you can view in HyperView include:
- Strain tensor components (e)
- Stress tensor components (s)
- Principal/Invariant strain (e1, evm)
- Principal/Invariant stress (s1, svm)
- Traditional failure theories(Max Strain, Tsai-Wu, Hill, etc…)
You can also use the Envelope function withing HyperView to envlope ply results. Individual ply results are searched through all plies for the minimum or maximum values. You can look at either the:
- Min/Max result
- Min/Max layer
Another useful tool in HyperView is the Result Math function. Using Result Math you can create user defined results from:
- Existing Results
- Model Data
- External Tables
- Tcl/Tk or XML Scripts
Both of these topics, Envelope and Result Math are covered in more detail in Chapter 12.
