Within HyperView, there are tools available for capturing screen contents and animations to files. There is also a utility to create HTML and PowerPoint (XML) report files from HyperView.
Capturing Images/Videos
In order to capture the screen content and animations, the Image Capture toolbar is used. This toolbar is accessed by selecting View > Toolbars > HyperWorks > Image Capture from the menu bar.
Roll over the image below for a description of each item in the toolbar.
Publish to HTML or PowerPoint
Also in HyperWorks Desktop there is the ability to export the session to a HTML or PowerPoint file.
This is done from the File menu, selecting Publish > HTML, PowerPoint Beta, PowerPoint 2003 or PowerPoint 2007.
This captures multiple pages and windows to various file formats (H3D, AVI, JPEG, etc.) and organizes them into an HTML or PowerPoint (XML or HML) file. The PowerPoint file will be in XML format. You can read XML files into Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 and HML files into Microsoft PowerPoint 2007.
The PowerPoint Beta tool is a new tool in HyperWorks 12.0 that allows you to:
-
Use a Master POT template for your PowerPoint presentation.
-
Capture high-quality images and position them in your presentation.
-
Set font sizes for most of the objects in the PowerPoint file.
-
It provides several options for image types and H3D export options.
-
Select the pages or windows that you want to publish.

The Session Browser is used to determine which pages in the session should be published. When a page has a check mark in the Publish column, this indicates that the page will be included in the published file (HTML or PowerPoint).
The format of the file to be exported is set by right clicking on the window and selecting Publishing Settings. This opens a window where you can enter a Window description and the Format of the file to be exported.
The options for the format of images are PNG, JPEG, TIF, XLS and BMP.
The options available for the format of the animation windows are PNG, JPEG, TIF, BMP, AVI, GIF and H3D.
The export settings for AMF, AVI, H3D, GIF and JPEG files are set by selecting Preferences > Export Settings > AMF, AVI, H3D, JPEG, GIF. This sets options such a Palette, Size, Encoding, JPEG quality, etc.
