MotionView works with a HyperWorks neutral file called H3D to represent the flexible body. This compact file format stores the necessary information for
visualizing the flexbody in the pre-processing window and the modes and interface nodes in the post-processing window.
It also stores the modal and nodal information.
MotionView models solved in MotionSolve or Adams can be animated in HyperView. In addition, the plots for these models can also be viewed in HyperGraph.
The various mode shape results are listed as result
subcases under the loadcase “CMS FlexBody” in the flex h3d file. To animate a particular
mode shape:
Select the mode shape from the loadcase drop-down in the HyperView Results Browser (as shown below).
Click on the triangle next to the Set Animation Mode button , and select the Modal animation mode .
Click on to animate the model.
To control the speed of animation, click on the Animation Controls button
.
From the panel, use the slider bar located under Max Frame Rate.
To control the rate of deformation in the visualization, use the Angular
increment drop-down menu.
To view animation for a different mode, simply select the mode through the
subcase drop-down menu in the Results browser.
