Create Force Responses

Use the Force tool to create force responses from 1D elements or constraints.

1. Do one of the following:
   • From the Design Explorer ribbon, Responses tools, click the Force tool.

   • Click the Force tool satellite icon . In the Responses dialog, click .
2. Click the guide bar selector and choose whether to create the response using 1D Elements or Loads.
3. Select one or more entities.
   Selecting the first entity will create a response and add it to the Design Explorer Browser. The response will be the maximum absolute value of the force for the selected entity or entities.
4. In the microdialog,
   1. Optional: Rename the response.
   2. From the drop-down menu, select the component of the force to be measured.
