Connect two parts over a circular area on the contacting surfaces.

In the Connections workbench toolbar, click the
(Create spot or laser welds) icon to open the
Create spot or laser welds dialog.

Under Type, select the Spot weld radio button.

Activate the Stand alone spots radio button.

In the modeling window, select a point on the part surface to choose the center
of the spot weld.

Define the Spot diameter.
- Optional:
Edit the coordinates of the spot center using the X, Y, and Z coordinate
fields.

Click OK to create.
Note: Welds will only be found within a tolerance of the spot weld diameter. So,
for a 5mm weld, the XYZ values must be within 5mm of the part
surfaces.
